Here’s how we’ll deliver that for you

If you think Scratchmedia may be the right team to help bring your web project to life, here’s what you can expect from us. We apply a simple, thorough approach to everything we design or develop, whether it’s a new brand identity or a large-scale web-based application.

Initial Interview

As soon as you get in touch with Scratchmedia, we’ll set up a phone call or meeting so that we can fully understand your project and goals.

On that initial call, which can take from 30 minutes to over an hour, we’ll ask plenty of questions. We need to find out about your business, your market, your offering, and specifically what you want to achieve.

This will give us a thorough understanding of the type of services and amount of work you need, helping ensure we don’t over-estimate or under-estimate what your project requires. We’ll then draw up a proposal for the work we’ll carry out for you. Sometimes, we’ll provide a specification with our proposal, to clarify the precise scope of work required.

Work schedules

Upon agreeing to work together, we’ll let you know your project’s proposed delivery schedule. Our schedules are normally pretty conservative, not because we can’t work very fast, but because we prefer not to rush.

We take every client’s project very seriously and we’ll always do whatever’s necessary to deliver the best product, even if that requires a bit more time. We figure you’d prefer to get a great result than a quick rush job – but tell us if you need work ASAP and we’ll always do what we can.

Design Alignment

Before putting pen to paper, we always set up another thorough meeting or call, where one of our senior designers will interview you in depth to understand fully how your web site or application should look, feel, and behave.

Clients sometimes ask, “How many different designs will we get?” Our answer is always the same: “Hopefully one!”

We always set out to get your design right first-time – and we usually succeed, because we take so much care to understand every goal, preference, requirement, or constraint before we start work.

The last thing we want to do is deliver any design that doesn’t work for you. Your time and our time are too important for going down the wrong paths. However, if something is not right – for any reason – we’ll do whatever it takes to put it right. That’s one of our commitments to you.

Web Design & Development

From that point, you can expect to hear from us regularly. We’ll send you design work throughout the process, so we can get your feedback and have the opportunity to make any changes required at the earliest opportunity.

Only when designs are signed off by you will they go to our specialist Production team, who’ll turn them into functional web page templates that work great in a full range of web browsers and are accessible to everyone, regardless of disability.

If we’re also coding your web application, or publishing your site on a content management system or e-commerce platform, you’ll get regular opportunities to view progress and give your feedback through your project manager.

When your work is complete, we’ll test it and review it thoroughly with you, to ensure everything is perfect.

On-going Services

The world doesn’t stand still, and even the best-designed web site can be made even more effective over time.

That’s why we also provide on-going SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) or CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) services for many of our clients. These both involve regular reports (usually monthly), in which we review your site’s recent performance and propose changes we think will increase either your targeted traffic, conversions (like sales, sign-ups, or leads), or both.

The great thing about Scratchmedia’s optimisation services is that it’s easy to prove performance and return on investment. It’s our goal to prove to you where optimisation generates more for your business than it costs.

We provide these services just where they are required. We only want to generate more for your business, so we’ll never hold you to a contract for services that no longer produce positive results.
